Crystal Therapy Crystals have been used for thousands of years for their healing properties. The ancient Egyptians used powdered malachite to apply to wounds to prevent infection and were the first to say amethyst had healing properties, often using it to treat hangovers. Crystals absorb, focus, direct and diffuse our energy fields to enable a diseased or out of balance body to find its natural energetic rhythm once again. Once the body is operating at an optimum level, it can fight and cope with nearly all ailments and illnesses. How does it work? Various crystals are placed on or around a fully clothed person to induce deep relaxation, releasing stress and promoting energy balance within the physical and subtle bodies. In this way, blockages within the system are removed and pain relieved. The crystals are placed on the chakras and areas of pain and imbalance. The crystals emit tiny electrical impulses which are received and recognised via the body’s neurological system. Each crystal has its own unique signature of energy; for example, Tiger’s Eye will promote feelings of confidence, courage and success while combating any negative sensations regarding these strengths. Correct placement of crystals on the body will promote emotional and mental harmony. During this state of equilibrium, the body has the perfect conditions to naturally heal itself.
